Download DockView 2.1.7 for Mac - Activated Version Category: Productivity, Utilities | License: Full | Language: English | File Size: 6 MB
DockView 2.1.7 is a lightweight macOS utility that adds live window previews to the Dock, letting you see and switch between open windows without leaving your cursor. Designed for multitaskers, developers, and anyone who works with multiple apps, it displays live thumbnails of all windows for any app when you hover over its Dock icon – with instant switching, window management (minimize, close, de‑minimize), and support for Stage Manager, multiple displays, and full‑screen Spaces. The app runs on macOS 14 or later, supporting both Intel and Apple Silicon Macs.
Instead of guessing which window you'll land on with Cmd+Tab or opening Mission Control, DockView brings every window to your cursor. You can preview windows of any app, including minimized ones in the Dock, and click the one you need – it jumps to the front in the right Space. Advanced keyboard shortcuts give you even more control: press ⌥⇥ to browse all open windows as a carousel; press ⌥⌘F to snap the focused window into halves, quarters, or other layouts; and hold ⌃⌥ to number every app in your Dock for instant keyboard access. Built with Apple's ScreenCaptureKit for hardware‑accelerated instant thumbnails, DockView is under 10 MB, uses no Electron, and runs quietly without ads or telemetry – making it a native, essential addition to any Mac workflow.
Key Features Live Window Previews: Hover any Dock icon to see live thumbnails of all its windows – click to instantly switch, even across Spaces. Window Management: Quickly minimize, de‑minimize, or close windows directly from the preview thumbnails – no extra clicks. Minimized Window Preview: Hover a minimized window in the Dock and its preview pops up instantly – see what's hidden. Carousel Mode (⌥⇥): Browse every open window as a carousel – including windows on other desktops, full‑screen, and minimized – release to land. Window Layout Shortcuts (⌥⌘F): Snap the focused window into halves, quarters, centre, or side‑by‑side layouts with a compact panel – no separate window manager needed. Dock Numbering (⌃⌥): Hold to number every Dock app – press the corresponding number to instantly switch, no aiming or Cmd+Tab marathon.
System Requirements macOS 14 (Sonoma) or later. Intel Core i5/i7/i9 or Apple Silicon (M-series).
